Welcome to King Square Apartments, a beautiful boutique themed serviced apartment building situated in central Bridgwater, Somerset. Explore the exquisite décor and original features unmasked during the 2020 restoration, which reflects the history of one of Bridgwater’s oldest buildings.
On the grounds where Bridgwater Castle once stood in the 13th century, King Square is a tranquil memorial park, surrounded by beautiful Georgian houses.
The Grade II* listed Georgian house, which is now King Square Apartments, stood empty for some years before it was renovated to the luxurious boutique serviced apartments you see today. It took two years for the restoration, having been in an inhabitable state when discovered. We unveiled some stunning original features during the restoration. These have been restored most sensitively, to maintain their beauty and create a feature for our guests to enjoy. From a well to an original cooker, high ceilings, and confirmed Bridgwater Castle beams – history is being revived in our beautiful serviced apartments.
King Square Apartments represent luxury, comfort, convenience, safety, and a stay that’s much different from a hotel. There are five spacious serviced apartments, each comprising a comfortable living room and dining room area, fully equipped kitchen, modern bathroom, and a bedroom with a Super King Size Bed.
With chandeliers, plush décor, interior to match the themed apartments, and original features unmasked, this is no regular stay away.
Our upper floor apartments, The Art Deco Suite and Look-Out Suite, are adults only. Due to the age and listed status of the building, we don’t have a lift, if you’d like help with luggage or any shopping, please let us know in advance.
OUR STORY
It all began when I was wandering in the centre of Bridgwater, Somerset and I happen to come across the property that I was drawn to because of its character and architectural significance. Being a property developer myself, I immediately fell in love with it and imagined a whole range of possibilities that I can do to revive its cultural heritage and uncover its history. Fast forward from that day, my partner and I decided to buy the property in 2018 and transformed it into a beautiful, stunning and family-friendly apartments!
